Hope to see you there!

As your West Midlands MEP I call on the proposers for these 2 turbines near Slindon and the surrounding villages to do the right thing and to throw out their plans and to respect the views and concerns of the SOS campaign.
These huge wind turbines would dominate the rural landscape and property values would drop if this scheme is approved and implemented.
I have given my support to other campaigns in the Area, notably Stop Severn Trent near Stone and to STAG – Stop Turbines Action Group near Marston.
The EU provides some of the financial support to sponsor these ineffective turbines and their interference is leading to wind farms springing up all over the countryside. The analysis proves that if the subsidy is removed they are just not viable.
People in Slindon donot want these blots on their local landscape.
I am therefore delighted to lend my support to SOS and hope that this application is thrown out.

The Bowler website has some interesting information on the profitability of 2 x 50kw turbines. The link below is to an article in Farmers Guardian, also explaining the financial attraction.

I wanted to let you know from the outset, I have supported campaigners against the proposed wind turbines and am totally supportive of their objectives. I met with campaigners from Slindon and Eccleshall and will be working with them as the plans are brought forward.
There is already considerable opposition to this proposal by many of my local constituents who view this as having a significant potential impact on the local landscape.
My constituents do not accept the damage these proposals will do to their local environment and countryside and I will do what I can to assist their objections to the plans.
